CO2-targets
If you want to achieve a CO2-reduction of 50% or 55% in 2030 compared to your reference year, you can set your target in the Envirometer at a reduction of x% per year. In the table below you can read which reduction percentage per year you should choose to arrive at 50% or 55% in 2030, depending on your reference year. The closer your reference year is to 2030, the higher the required reduction percentage.
Target in 2030: | 50% reduction | 55% reduction |
reference year | reduction/year | reduction/year |
2015 | -4,5% | -5,2% |
2016 | -4,8% | -5,5% |
2017 | -5,2% | -5,9% |
2018 | -5,6% | -6,4% |
2019 | -6,1% | -7,0% |
2020 | -6,7% | -7,6% |
2021 | -7,4% | -8,4% |
So, for example, if you want to achieve a 55% CO2 reduction in 2030 and your first CO2 footprint has been made in 2020, you can set the target value of 7.6% per year (less is better) to arrive at a 50% reduction in 2030.
The graphs below show the calculation of the 50% / 55% reduction.
