Measuring sustainability is one element of guidelines and certificates

By formulating and monitoring quantitative sustainability goals, the performance of your company or organisation becomes visible. This is one element of ISO 26000, the international guidelines for corporate social responsibility. Certification for the CSR Performance Ladder also requires monitoring by means of indicators. The CSR Guidelines for SME companies include measuring and monitoring CSR activities, a more intensive element for which the Envirometer is recommended. In the investment world, companies are increasingly evaluated on their ESG scores and ratings on the basis of indicators.

Selecting measurable sustainability indicators

The Envirometer contains lists with suggestions for key environmental figures and broader sustainability indicators addressing social and community issues such as absenteeism, education and commitment to social causes. You can easily select the most appropriate indicators for your organisation from these lists.
The Envirometer allows you to easily determine your environmental performance and CO₂ footprint. The graphs show which of your organisation’s activities has the greatest impact on the environment. This insight makes it easier to choose environmental indicators that allow you to measure and evaluate your performance.

Monitoring sustainability performance

After selecting your sustainability indicators, determine your target for each key figure. The Envirometer automatically creates colourful target graphs of your scores relative to your targets. All your scores are summarised in a target dashboard. This is how you create your personal dashboard for sustainable business.
